Ankle & Foot Care Centers Signs On As Lead Sponsor for Diabetes Walk

BOARDMAN, Ohio (September 28, 2009) – Ankle & Foot Care Centers has agreed to be the presenting sponsor for Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes, scheduled for October 18 at the Canfield Fairgrounds.

As the lead sponsor for the event, Ankle & Foot Care Centers provides the greatest investment in the event’s primary objectives – raising money to find a cure for the nearly 24 million Americans living with diabetes and to help improve their lives.

The American Diabetes Association has scheduled 160 Step Out events across the United States, most of them in October. Each event is supported financially by one presenting sponsor, several additional sponsors and hundreds of event participants who secure contributions from family and friends to support their walks.

“We are very pleased to be the presenting sponsor of this event that supports diabetes research,” said Dr. Lawrence A. DiDomenico, managing partner at Ankle & Foot Care Centers.

“As many of our patients are diabetics, we have been at forefront of diabetic research initiatives for many years.”

Ankle & Foot Care Centers also stages an annual golf outing to raise funds for diabetes research and organizes several support groups for families of diabetic patients.
